2015 STARTALK Program

Startalk2015 STARTALK  Program

arabic UNM is hosting the 2015 STARTALK Program, a component in the programs of the National Security Language Initiative (NSLI) which seeks to expand and improve the teaching and learning of strategically important world languages that are not now widely taught in the US. The program offers tuition-free Arabic classes to Albuquerque area high-school students (freshmen through senior year) and first year college students entering UNM.  Students receive 3 hours of college credit (equivalent to taking Arabic 101 at UNM) that also satisfy high school foreign language requirements.  Weaving language and culture with contemporary issues, the STARTALK Program offers students an opportunity  to get a head start on learning the Arabic  language.

Startalk Program Dates: July 13-August 7, 2015  Flyer click here
